Conference on DSI: A way forward for Institutional Reforms

Introduction

The “1st International Conference on Diversity and Social Inclusion: A way forward for Institutional Reforms” is being organized by the Women Institute of Learning and Leadership (WILL) in collaboration with the University of Management and Technology (UMT), Lahore and the Association of Management Development Institution in Pakistan (AMDIP), on January 27-28, 2020 at University of Management and Technology, Main Campus, Lahore.

An inclusive society over-rides social differences by ensuring inclusion and equality of opportunities for all its members. The societies around the world, especially in the developing countries, are facing socio-culture divides. This situation raises the challenges for the experts, especially in the area of social sciences, to explore and understand the related issues and devise sustainable solutions to them. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of United Nations, also intensely support diversity, inclusivity and equality in all fields of life without any divide of race, gender, color, ethnicity, religion, or age group. Many countries of the world including Pakistan have internalized SDGs as national development goals to work on this global agenda that requires collaborative efforts. This calls for focused research and debate to discuss challenges and explore solutions in order to develop way forward through institutional reforms for mutual win.

DSI will provide a forum to all stakeholders for discussion to seek solutions for such issues. This conference foresees to generate a multi-stakeholder discourse over the focused themes and looks forward towards philosophical, policy level, and operational implications in the long run. Academicians, Scholars, Researchers, Practitioners and Business Leaders are invited to join the conference to share their philosophical thoughts, conceptualization of ideas and empirical evidences. All manuscripts in the shape of research paper, working paper, proposal, case study or presentation may be submitted
